Last night we had the pleasure to attend the symphony at the Meyerson in Downtown Dallas.
We saw percussionist Evelyn Glennie, who is profoundly deaf, and has very limited hearing.
She plays barefoot and plays by feeling the vibrations of the music with her body.
There was a special Concerto that had been composed for her that she played.
It had three movements, Wood, Metal, & Skin.
She is a very active woman and a great musician.
She was all over the stage and you can really tell
We had the pleasure of sitting on the 2nd row right in front of the stage.
It was such a personal viewing.
Then afterwards the orchestra played a wonderful selection, the Enigma movements.
It has been a long time since I've been to the Symphony and I found it truly a delight for the senses.
And it was nice taking Bobby there for his first time and seeing the gleam in his eyes.
Pure joy.
