Texas was lovely and I will post pictures from it later. My aunt told me a story about when she got her tattoo. I think it must have been in the 70s and she and one of my other aunts were visiting my uncle in LA. They were walking in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, looking at the stars, and saw a tattoo shop and decided to go in. The tattoo artist told her that she must smoke a lot of pot because she was bleeding so much. Doesn't it sound like something out of a movie?
The Jenni/Stephanie roadtrip has been canceled due to soaring gas prices and our need to save money for tattoos and unicorn statues responsible adult things. Instead, Jenni is going to come out to Chicago and we are going to go to museums and bookstores and look at sex toys while thinking of Mandy. We have not seen each other in 2 years! Last time we saw each other there was a lot of punching, Next!, tattoo-getting, and... napping. HOW ARE WE GOING TO IMPROVE ON THAT?! I don't know, but we will!
I keep starting and stopping with writing my zine. The formatting fucks me up too. Do I want backgrounds? I have a big thing full of magazine clippings that I started back when I was in high school, do I want to use those? I just need to stop thinking about it, pull my typewriter into my lap (just kidding, that would break my legs), and write about feminism and tattoos and my favorite foods.
