i made my way down the the theatre department yesterday. mary and i were working covecation(sp?) which entailed answering a billion questions to eager beaver freshmen for a few hours. ridiculous. but what is more ridiculous is that i found out that i will be holding auditions next week. as is mary. i think we are both in slight shock that next week really means school starts. not only does school start but directing projects start. i just have to remember that this means i will be done mid october. so fast. so crazy. so i will be directing Inventing Van Gogh by Steven Dietz and this will go up October 16th thru 19th. I really am excited. seriously. just feeling overwhelmed about the fact that i had no idea this would take off next week. i have a lot of preperation to do. oh, and i don't have a stage manager or ANY designers. and i can't do anything about this because they are assigning them. weird. gross. barf.

today i have been primaraly doing two things. reading a director prepares by anne bogart and fanning through van gogh books. hands down i think anne bogart is amazing and reading this book has added some amazing perspective and much needed inspiration to take on this school year. it is quote filled and odd and my friend kyle hated it but it seems to be just the right thing i need to be reading right about now. a few hours ago i had a moment of madness as i was listening to explosions in the sky and frantically marking all kinds of shit in my van gogh books. it was just this brief moment of no control but utter focus and major breakthrough. now i
