1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? hmm the only thing i can think of is not appropriate to post online. sorry kiddos.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i dont remember what they were... i usually go out all and make this idealistic list of all the things i intend to change about my life, im guessing i probably stuck to one of the 20 or so.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? nope
4. Did anyone close to you die? nope
5. What places did you visit? ummm new york, boston, pittsburgh, philadelphia, milwaukee, madison, rockford, etc.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? confidence?
7. What date(s) from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? id rather not say.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? umm getting my first acceptance letter? u of i, bleh
9. What was your biggest failure? ooh man not quite sure where to even begin there.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury? hahaha had a whooping cough scare, and some regular old colds and what not.
11. What was the best thing you bought? lots and lots o' music.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? hmm cant think of a particular, so we'll say my dear best friends, you know who you are, you make me proud allllll the time. we should celebrate you. hehe.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? probably my familys (bro especially) and an old bf.
14. Where did most of your money go? music and food. damn off campus lunch, we spend soooo much!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? summer
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? anything death cab, the trans cd especially
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? probably happier, last year at this time was kinda a low point for me.
ii. thinner or fatter? the same i think
iii. richer or poorer? i would have to say richer cuz ive got a better paying job than last year.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? hugging people. telling them i cared. really savoring moments.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? taking people or things too seriously or personally, getting upset and down on myself.
20. How did you spend Christmas? with the fam.

23. How many one-night stands? if we're saying one-night stands as in sex, none. otherwise.... hahahaha
24. What was your favorite TV program? meh i dont watch tv really. i started getting into the gilmore girl reruns tho, hehe.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? i wouldnt say hate. dislike more maybe.
26. What was the best book you read? ooh best? i cant choose... maybe last exit to brooklyn? i started trainspotting on loan from karl, its supposedly an even better book than movie, so we'll see how that turns out.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? oh man i have to choose? discovery like getting myself into it would be either bright eyes or the good life. discovery like influenced by others either death cab or cursive. idk theres so much, it was a good music year.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? Eternal Sunshine, and Garden State (which i finally bought tonight and watched w/ the fam)

What did you do on your birthday? umm on my actual birthday, not too much, we didnt do a fam thing this year. ooh but my lovely girls took me out to ed debevicks (spelling??) and then melting pot for dessert, and made matching shirts that all said "happy 18th birthday alyssa!" on them and wore them all night. hahahahaha and i got one that said "its my 18th birthday". :) it was fun
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? more patience and less hardcore emotion.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? oh man ive gotten so lazy. jeans and hoodies for the rest of my life, yay
34. What kept you sane? music and some of my friends.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? conor. hes so darn pretty. and his soul is pretty too, hehehe.
36. What political issue stirred you the most? anything bush-oriented. in particular the gay-marriage issues.
37. Who did you miss? my brother. a boyfriend while i was dating him. and more than anything, parts of myself.
38. Who was the best new person you met? oh crap this is hard. im not gonna choose cuz i met enough cool peeps that i dont wanna make anyone feel not special :)
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: take everything in stride. i cant always tell someones thoughts or motives as much as i think i know. and i have learned that i need to be more selective w/ my trust.
