Day 6 - In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.
Everything by sunsetmog in bandom. She's kind of amazing in every single way but she was also one of the first bandom writers I read back in 2009 and it got me into this mess that I call my favorite fandom.
Dying is Easy series by poisontaster - Live Free Or Die Hard - So, this is not a fandom I thought I would like. Age difference, John McClane fucking another guy? Really? Yes, really. It's so good you guys. So good I could die.
Ready Fire Aim by gyzym - Avengers(2012) - I am a Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes tinhatter. I ship them like a freight train, like FedEx, like the British Navy. And yet? This Steve/Tony story is so good that suddenly I found myself shipping that new pairing so hard I could die. It's excellent even though its not even remotely what I thought it would be.
