Yall having a job is time consuming. I forgot. I remember now. Anyway, My Chemical Romance. Wednesday. Goddamnit, my boys are magical. I got the the arena at like...9:30 in the morning? My interview for the job I know have (YAY WORK!) was at 7:30 and I went from there straight to the ampithetere and man *flops* Long ass day. But the people around us were mostly nice and the first...five odd people there were all MCR people *clings to them* so that was good. Lots of Blink fans (the douchiest ones it should be noted because there were lovely ones in the group too) were in banana costumes. It good because you could point and say "there - thats the asshole right there". But the group I was with were MCR loyalists and we took care of each other because that's how THIS fanbase functions. I forget sometimes, when I go to other shows, that not every fanbase is as unified as My Chem fans can be.
DEWEES! I love your hair my dear. You are the unsung hero fo the MCR family. Seriously. Half these songs would be empty without you. These are the only pictures of him I could get because once the actual show starts, things are so crazy that there's no chance but Yay! GOT HIM!
BARRICADE! \o/ Worth the wait.
I have no idea what the fuck happened with this picture. It's here because it is a werid effect. I probably couldnt replicate it if I tried.
Mikey was rocking out harder than he usually does. He was just headbanging it out. Seriously, they were all on fire but Mikey and Frank more so than usual. You expect it from Frank. Not as much from Mikey. *bites knuckle* Ugh.
I'm Not Okay was played with the Revenge art in the background. I've never been to one of their shows where they did that and it was awesome. They were really on for this one but thats true of the whole set. I feel like I keep saying that but it continues to be TRUE.
NECK. Goddamnit both of their necks. I cant even deal with how neck-y they both are. Alicia and Jamia - you both had better do all the licking of those necks. For serious.
I cannot remember which song this is but Frank was melting and coming out of his cardigan. Of course when the song ENDED he pulled it right back up because he's a weird little grandpa trapped in the body of a 29(soon to be 30) year old. But hey, shot of some of the shoulder tattoos!
So, the next few with the reddish cast and background were Mama. I dont know if there are any clear shots but the background is red skies and what looks like burning rain. Perfect, aesthetically speaking because, as Gerard said "this is a song about hell".
Gloriously sweaty. He makes me want to reach out to touch when I see him live. It kills me every time.
Serious hairflip Mikey is serious about this hairflip.
Crappy Ray pictures are crappy. Sorry. But I cant not include him. He was on fire so I have to!
Frank got a nosebleed during the show. Seriously, I'm positive this happened. I did the bes tI could to get a picture of it so that I could prove I wasnt hallucinating but the angle was all wrong. I dont know if he just had it spontaneously happen like I do or if he hit himself in the face with his guitar flailing around but I know for sure that it happened. He wiped it away a few times during breaks in playing but I was worried for a minute there. Oh ironies that it should happen at MY show. Okay MCR, now we're even :P

Accidental Crotch Shot 2
I love this one because RAY! I can see you! I did the best I could to get shots of Ray because I could *see* him fine through the whole show and he was rocking it out like a rock-thing but my photos were mostly crap. Not this one though! Gerard, move your big red head! :D
The girl behind me (she'd been in line with us all day, on CRUTCHES, and yet I have blanked on her name - shame on me) threw her Killjoys mask up onto the stage. While Gerard was talking and intro to Teenagers Frank sort of looked down at the ground, shrugged, and then bent over and picked it up, then put it on. He wore it through the entirety of the song and the girl who threw it nearly lost her damn mind. It was sort of precious.
That said I think it looks great on him. Very menacing. :D I got as many pictures of him in the mask as I could. The video came out FAR better of this at least.
Frank looks like a supervillian here - smiling like that with the mask on. Yes or motherfuck yes?
And then he shot Gerard with his ray gunguitar. This could only have been better had Gerard noticed and fallen to the ground to play dead.
That set ends at Teenagers and then I stopped taking anything but video because they did Famous Last Words and Black Parade and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W(which was really kind of amazing - I'd never seen that song live before) and I was busy losing my damn mind over it. Seriously, Sobbed like a small child for all of Famous Last Words - not manpain tears either. We're talking snot and hiccuped breaths. God that band does things to me.
Gerard brought up the Troy Davis situation, BRIEFLY, in the intro to Teenagers saying "Who thinks the death penalty is bullshit" . Mixed response from the crowd as a whole (which is a damn shame) because it was the night of the execution and WE are the state that was doing it. I agree with him and think the Troy Davis thing is a fucking travesty against the justice system but it was interesting to see him mention it all. Oddly appropriate and horrible all at once. He opened S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W which came right after with "Love, guns, God. Only one of those things doesnt kill people. This song's about it." Someone was trying to make a point methinks.
On a lighter note, there were CONFETTI BALLOONS during Planetary(Go!). Someone gave Gerard a boxcutter or something to pop them with and it was both really fun and a little disturbing because my mind went "Really? A boxcutter? Who thought that was a good idea?" Lol. Gerard hit his knees quite a few times right down by me and that was really amazing. All the feelings in his face, you guys. All of them.
The trouble with them not headlining is of course the lack of an encore but what they did have they played harder than I've ever seen them before. It was really awesome. Frank especially possibly because this is the first time I've seen him where he didnt look sick. Like a whirling top that man. And the drummer stand in kept up. I could barely see him from where I stood so it wasnt really that relevant. James was way more integral and he was exceptional as always.
At the end, one of the stage hands - the one guy who has the beard and always wears a bandana, you know the guy if you've been to their shows - threw water bottles into the crowd. Now, I grabbed at it because OH MY GOD WATER! It hit my hand, fell off and exploded at the bottom because it hit so hard but the security man was right in front of me all night so he handed it to me and low, twas no ordinary bottle of water that was leaking everywhere. This water bottle was WRAPPED IN THE SET LIST!
So mostly my reaction to the night is this. Ray! Mikey! James! Gerard! FRANK!! BOYS!!! BAND!!!!
Oh, and Blink 182 were fun too. Less offensive than I heard people complaining about and I've been a fan for awhile so I really enjoyed it! Tom said something transphobic "This song is for girls with vaginas, not girls with peepees." and Mark responded "Hey, I like those girls. This song can be for them too." which - was akward but I give Mark points for trying because he's my favorite. It's so so obvious when you see him on stage how he and Pete became friends and all the performance things that Pete BLATANTLY STOLE from him. That said - stop being a douche Tom.
And now, the videos. Apologizes for any shakiness. The pit is what it is but especially on Teenagers if you want to see more masked Frank up close, Mama, Famous and Mikey really shines in Give Em Hell Kid but then he always does. Just... Argh. Yes. Video. See for yourself. Especially if you're a Frank, Mikey or Gerard girl (I'm so sorry Ray, I really am - I tried).

I've never seen this one live before. It was great, much better than using Ghost Of You as a slower song.

There's a lot of outside sound on this one including me and the people around me singing along. I blame the overall quietness of Cancer. Sorry about that!
And that's all folks!
