Boldly Going...
So, I dragged my darling and captive ashley to see Star Trek with me Friday night(her first, my 3rd viewing). She's been staying with me since Wednesday and it's lovely. *smishes her*
On a fandom note?How does that fucking film get better with every viewing? HOW? Seriously HOW? I dont know. Magic I guess. It honestly makes me kinda proud to be a Lost and Fringe fan, especially having had no one to talk about it for awhile. Now fandom's paying attention to my boys *pets Lindeloff* and it kinda makes me happy. They're great and they deserve a lot of attention and lovings.
That said? Star Trek's eating me. EATING ME. This is bad.
My Entourage hookerfic (aka the monster fic that freaking ATE TOKYO and then swam across the Pacific to devour LA) needs to be finished (and its so close, oh dear god its less than 20,000 words away from being done I just know it). The entourage_fest is in a little over a month! But all I can do is toy with Bones and Jim.
*waves a hand at The One With The Romulan Ale* I blame that fic. If people didnt LIKE it so damn much and ENCOURAGE me so much and make me feel so wanted and loved then I wouldnt be all obsessed with writing more in that universe where they're all married and together. *sigh* I'm such a review addict. It's a sad fact of life that I will work to feed my addiction.
However, The married!verse reaction doesnt explain why I just started an AU set in the fashion industry where Jim's a supermodel. I dont know where that came from and its the crackiest crack ever. Seriously, it belongs in a pipe. I blame allydnra and that awful Project Runway knock off The Fashion Show. I DONT EVEN LIKE FASHION. Except shoes, which I dont really buy, I just like to look at them. *glowers as Chris Pine's lips* How dare he be so pretty?
And while we're on the subject of Enterprise pretty - um, Anton Yelchin anyone? How hard is he rocking it right now? Anyone else see Terminator Salvation? Did anyone else think he was the best fucking part (yes better than Bale and Worthington). But then, Kyle Reese has ALWAYS been my favorite character in the Terminator movie canon. So, really, I am not sure if its the way Anton played him or just cause ever since I saw the first one when I was 15 I've been totally in love with Kyle and it carried over. I honestly dont care. It made me happy - Kyle or Pavel - he's awesome, always, but right now in particular.
And before I finish babbling - anyone on my FList watch In Plain Sight or Royal Pains? Cause hi awesome summer season. I love you very much.
In other less fandom news - I got a new used car to replace my very broken station wagon. It makes me kinda sad honestly. I really dug the wagon. It was like having a truck without the unfortunate social implications or vertigo.
And... OH! NEW/REFILLS OF MY KNEE PAIN MEDICATION. This is a very very VERY good thing. Very. *sighs* It means I get to try to sleep without having to attempt to relax THROUGH pain. And that? That makes my life infinitely easier.
So yeah. Life, she's lovely right now. Not perfect but it is quite nice.
