WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?! I watched tonight, and they NEVER showed this. I waited the whole fucking thing out, on American NBC and we saw NONE of this.

He is so tired. It really really makes me wonder and worry. I'm sure he'll get where he's going but god, stop harassing him. I would rather see less of him and let him be left alone to do his thang than know everything and write fic. ;-\ I'm emo that way

This was very sweet, I love how Ryan is taking care of him, and how comfortable they are with one another. I think this will be in my head when I watch him swim again and it will make me smile.

I was watching the swimming today (I know, shocker right? well okay, not really - go Stephanie Rice!) and I was paying close attention to Michael Phelps. And he did look tired, and he did look intense, and he did look like he got emotional everytime he heard the Star Spangled Banner. So this fic really worked for me! The banter, the tenderness, the understanding between them... very nice!

Welcome to the world of RPF - at least we'll all be together in our special hell :)

Oh, and I was thinking about this whole slashing athletes thing today, and I remembered about 12 years ago I used to mind-slash Michael Klim with Alexander Popov; and four years ago I was doing it with Ian Thorpe and Peiter Van Den Hoogenband... no-one wrote fic for me about them either :(
