Book Recommendation and Baby Blanket Pictures!
Alright, folks, two things for you today.
BOOK RECOMMENDATION
Certain Girls by Jennifer Wiener.
It made me cry once. It made me laugh a lot. It is NOT chick lit, although it will probably appeal more to females than males. And, it's got a great overview of the chaos that is having a bat mitzvah. If you've got some time over the summer, definitely definitely check this one out! (from the library).
Blanket #3. 36" by 28" when flat. This blanket was the longest, most frustrating pattern I've ever done. Why, you may ask?
Because the pattern had these very small and somewhat obscure hearts that are lovely to look at...but time consuming (and thought consuming) to make. Too much counting, and they're really hard to see. About 1.5" by 1".

KNITTED INTO THIS BLANKET:
Seasons 1-5 of Friends, an entire season of Dancing with the Stars, Alison's and my combined movie collection, some UNC basketball games, several Mugglecast and Pottercast episodes, the last four weeks of American Idol, a lot of pre-race commentary from the Derby, the Muppet Show, several thousand tv reruns, entirely too much Disney Channel, a stitch and bitch at Bull's Head, and a lot of awkward conversations I tried to knit over
And now I get to knit another one....it's going to be beautiful !!!! It's a really pretty white yarn with colored flecks, pictures coming when it's finished.
