Rules for Walking with Umbrellas (and a little technology to boot)

Technology News: I figured out how to get my Google Calendars into Microsoft Outlook, and therefore, on my Ipod! No more "I'll have to check my calendar" or "can I get back to you?" My life is OFFICIALLY on a portable electronic device. I am very excited.

Third of all, in honor of the rain we've had recently....

Kare's Rules for Walking With Umbrellas
1) Do NOT poke the people around you with the points of your umbrella, just because you happen to be shorter than the people around you. Hold your umbrella up a little higher.

2) Do not walk slowly with your umbrella. You will block other people who are trying to get around you (and make them late)

3) Do not stop and talk to someone else who has an umbrella. Your expanded width  makes it impossible for people to get around you.

4) Do not drop your umbrella behind your shoulder as if you are carrying a parasol. You will hit the person behind you.

5) Be aware of umbrella-less pedestrians. They are often just people who want to move quickly, and understand that umbrellas hinder their ability to do so.
