..wow
ok well yesterday i got Ladder49 for easter.. and then after the festivities were over and everyone left, i decided to watch it.
omg.. lets just say it was an incredible movie, but boyy did i cry, i cried soo hard. i would def reccomend this movie to anyone.. if u havent seen it, rent it! like even people that ive talked to that dont even really know or care about firefighting loved it so its def a movie for anyone to see.
well most of you know that my dad is a firefighter so i know a lot about what he does. but seeing this movie really made me realize and understand exactly what my dad has to go through sometimes on the job. yes the movie was sad.. but it was also verrryy cool. like watching some of these fires and the guys putting them out and all that jazz was awesome to see.
now of course we live in smithfield and the movie took place in baltimore city.. so the types of calls that they get can be very different. around here its mostly just EMT calls for the rescue and what not.. but dont get me wrong we do get fires around here. and basically, anytime someone walks into a building thats on fire is at risk. it doesnt havta be some 20story office building in the city, it can be a small house like we have around here or whatever, and its still dangerous. And we do tend to get some bad fires once and awhile.. especially mill fires.
But anyways enough about all that.. im just basically saying that the movie was great and it shows others that these guys really do put their lives on the line to save others. and when my dad comes home and tells me all these stories im like amazed.. and i really dont understand how anyone could ever complain about fire fighters like "theyre overpaid and they should do this for free" or "these fire codes are just annoying" ..and yes people do say shit like that because my dad has told me about it may times. but i mean come on people these guys are running into a fire to save YOU.. u cnt put a price on lives. and fire codes.. yeah i mean sometimes they can be annoying but if someplace ever caught on fire, u need to be able to get out.. and the firefighters need to be able to get around. rubble can be just as dangerous as the actual flames (if u see the movie ull know what i mean).
but yeah anyways thats really all i wanted to talk about.. if u notice that i didnt say much about the movie its because i didnt want to give anything away lol but its an amazing movie, def see it! ..ill update laterr =]
