Well, already it is the end of Week 1, I am busy as usual and haven't posted. Finally, life is back to normal.
I am also currently attempting to avoid my homework...something that I'm generally very good at, so I thought I'd update and share my class schedule.
Mondays:
8:30-10am~ 3rd World Development Communication (promises to be a fascinating subject but horrifically boring class)
1pm~ African Dance (I love that class more than I can say)
2-3:30pm~ Shakespeare with Saunders (fabulous class, amazing professor...it's interesting how automatically I feel he is similar to Schmor...I instantly felt myself needing to prove my intelligence to him and am already intimidated, even though he is a small, orange-spiked-haired welshman)
Tuesdays:
10am-noon~ Advanced Script Analysis (Grant is a great teacher, I can tell already, and the class will be fun and interesting, though peppered with the usual amount of people I barely tolerate, and many I enjoy...ahhhh the paradoxical feelings)
1pm~ Pilates (with one of my favorite dance teachers at the UO...should be good)
4pm~ LONDON meeting!!! (god, i can't goddamn wait!!)
Wednesdays:
8:30~ 3rd World
1~ African
2~ Shakespeare
6-9pm~ Survey of Documentary (only one class a week, and we basically watch movies the whole time...not too shabby)
Thursdays:
10~ Advanced Sript
1~ Pilates
And that, my lovely friends, is my entire schedule. It's strange having so much free time to actually do my homework. I also have rehearsals for Savage in Limbo, but they're only 1.5 hours at the most, so it's not much time commitment, at least compared ot what I'm used to. Having Fridays off is already insane. This week was especially wierd since I didn't have class on Thursday (due to the incredibly beautiful snow), and we don't have class on monday...so I have a 5-day weekend. It's just...strange, really.
But, in general, things are good. I did LOVE the snow, and am amazed that some of it is still gracing us with it's presence. It truly lightens my spirits when I see it...even if it is below freezing outside and I can barely feel my fingers, even when in my own apartment. My classes are going to be pretty interesting, Savage is already proving to be lots of fun, and I can't wait to start working on my Irene Ryan stuff. And to top it all off, I'm studying with Marie Landreth starting tomorrow!!! I couldn't believe what she did with my voice just over a few weeks this summer, so I can't wait to see what it'll be like working with her for a whole term. Yay.
So, I shall leave on this positive note to go to dishes, and then, attempt to trudge through some Aristotle.
Happy winter, everyone!!
