I am proud to report...

That Courtney is now officially Mrs. John ***** (I'll let her decide who gets to know her new last name.)

It was beautiful. The sky was a little threatening, but just before the ceremony all the clouds turned to the pretty, fluffy white kind, providing shade and there was a nice breeze. I don't think Courtney, with the veil, appreciated the wind as much, but she handled it gracefully. No one tripped down the aisle or anything, the ring bearer and flower girl were flawless and adorable.

I did trip up the stairs, but 21 years of ballet training made it so I can do that without making a scene. My Mom didn't see, so that means I did good. The bridesmaid next to me and probably the minister did hear me mutter "oh, shit." Oops. But I was facing back so no one could even read my lips.

I'll give you one Courtneyism. They were exchaning rings and John gave Courtney his left hand... and she whispered, "No the left." So he offered his right hand- you know, her left- and she was happy. It wasn't until after the ceremony that John wanted to know why she put his ring on the wrong finger that she even realized what happened. Gotta love it.

The reception was a blast. Courtney texted me this morning and told me they had a really good time. And that my friends is the very most important part. Now they're in Cozumel and it's raining. Whatever... they've got other things to do.

Now... I think I need to think about myself for a little while. The to do list in my head was taking over in my sleep and driving me crazy.

Also, Paul left for Dallas at 5am. It's very strange to lose 3 roomates in one day.

4 days to DFW!
