I got a new toy :) Canon 550D.
It came with a couple of magazines. When I flipped open one, this first sentence hit me, hard. It reads..
"How far can an SLR lens actually succeed in duplicating the characteristics of the human eye? The natural colors of the subject seen by a clear eye, precise expression that can focus directly on what it wants to look at, a swift angle of vision that loses no time in catching even the fasting moving objects..".
Man is, and will forever lag behind when we try to play/imitate God. There's no way we can create anything that God has not already created (God being the creator, is the ONLY creator) simply because we are part of His creation. We lag far behind in terms of wisdom to be able to create something that is entirely new. Man however, has been trying for years, to catch up with what God has created.
In this instance, man is trying to create a camera lens good enough, or at least comparable to the characteristics of a human eye. Is that even possible? The human eyes take less than a split of a second to focus on what we want to while a camera, coupled with the most experienced photographer needs at least a couple of seconds. There's no one lens in the entire world that has the focal length of the human eye.
Not convinced? Bring your index fingers to your eye level. Everything behind in instantaneously becomes blur. With your index fingers still in the same position, focus on your monitor. Your index finger becomes blur!
So amazing.
Lord, You awed me once again.
