I'd like to request 8 more hours of weekend, please, if it's not too much trouble

So far today I have gone running, done the grocery shopping, cleaned the bathroom, and started on my first load of laundry. I am currently contemplating whether to try to get in some work or have this work week suck that much the more. It's quite the dilemma.

Also, I bought some lamb stew meat on impulse and now I'm having second thoughts. I'm not a huge red meat eater, and most of what I do eat is seasoning rather than the main component of the dish. But it's locally raised Niman lamb, and I've been sitting on an intriguing recipe for lamb stew with mixed nut pesto for a long time, so I'm going to double ratio of vegetables and see how it goes. Mmmm, turnips.

And in the meantime, I'm buckling up for tonight's finale of Battlestar Galactica, because it is going to be a looooooong hiatus again; the show's not starting up again until January 2008. Ron Moore discusses this and other things in this interview (it's Salon, so you have to sit through an ad to get a day pass to the site). The interview claims to be spoilery through the finale, but the only specific plot point he discusses happened in last week's episode.

Also, Claudia Black is guest starring on tonight's episode of The Dresden Files. I would gladly pay good money to watch her read the phone book, so I am excited about not paying any extra money to watch her do something more interesting than read the phone book. It works out well!

fangirling claudia black like whoa, bsg
