Things that should have been a post
* Game of Thrones--a lovely adaptation that has emphasized and deepmhasized various parts of the book in a way that make complete sense for TV. This show is absolutely unprecedented in the way it has been faithful to a narrative while picking and choosing the details, and I think GRRM's television experience is a huge help. It's also a huge help that his universe is so rich.
* I am fascinated with the syntactic and stylistic differences between Japanese and American or Western recipe writing conventions. I sanded the rust off my Japanese early this spring because the English material wasn't doing it, with mixed results.
* It turns out that when you're allegedly working on two projects half-time instead of one project full-time, you're working on both projects full time.
* I have not posted in FOREVER and need to start watching The X-Files again because I was enjoying the hell out of it.
* Work. WORK. Also, work.
* My dog is a wierdo, but a super-cute one.
There he is, on the beach, taking himself for a walk, as he does. This picture was taken by his dog walker, who is awesome and takes the dogs out to Ft. Funston at the beach almost every day.
