I watched Season 3 on DVD the first time, and I blew through it pretty fast, which I think helped a LOT. It seems like it would be much better as a blur. And I knew about Angel/Cordy, but was shocked even then at how little sense it made. (Fred/Gunn I can also see, and probably would have liked better were it not for the Wesley point on the triangle. And the pancake kisses.)

But Angel needed a friend and Cordy was doing an awesome job of being that friend before it all got shot to hell.

Their friendship was so wonderful; he gave her purpose, and she kept him real. The fact that it wasn't romantic was part of what was lovely about it. And Cordy got to have her life; once she became the Love Object, that was done. Bleah.

ETA:

"Fairly Legal" (aka "Facing Kate") is premiering on Thursday at 10pm on USA network. The pilot filmed here in January 2010; the series is set here - although the series ultimately based in Vancouver, they have returned for frequent filming throughout the making of the series, and if the series is a success - we hope to see more and more filming of THE REAL THING.

Well, poo. I guess the interiors aren't that important in the long run, but the exteriors are key! I hate Vancouverisco.
