Going from California
I'm out tomorrow morning, heading for a week in Alabama with the family.
I am 90% ready for the dog, who will be arriving just after I get back. D. was kind enough to offer some of Floyd's old stuff, and we went through it today; it was terribly bittersweet, and I'm glad that he hadn't saved (or at least didn't offer) Floyd's favorite toys, like his raccoon and his octopus. Frisbees and tennis balls, and even dog beds and leashes, are a lot less personal. Today's trip to the pet store was my first encounter with the pet-industrial complex in a good fifteen years, and Furminators are espensive!!
