You can't spell JOY without COD. And also a J and a Y.

Today is More Joy Day! For the fannish part of my contribution, I thought I would hopefully bring some joy to Pushing Daisies fans by putting together a pictorial celebration of a character whose very skeptical frowny-face is capable of inducing joy.

Meet Emerson Cod.

He's a detective. A knitting detective. He's got layers like that.

Sometimes he saves lives with his knitting needles.

Sometimes he's a little skeptical. Okay, all the time.

For example, when he believes Ned has lost his mind for bringing his childhood crush back to life.

He'll give a hug by proxy, but he's not going to be happy about it.

He's the voice of reason in this crazy, mixed-up, pie-filled world. And he is not thrilled when he realizes that Ned could have gotten him killed when he let Chuck stay alive.

He's not going to let that happen again.

Really, really not.

He will leave no stone unturned in his pursuit of clues. Stone, or jockey tomb.

Stone, jockey tomb, or afternoon tea.

He has good taste in women.

Sort of.

Fortunately, he is irresitible.

He is always there for his friends. Especially attractive men who make pies for a living and therefore shouldn't spend even a short amount of time in prison.

He's not afraid of where an investigation may take him. Okay, maybe a little nervous.

And he has his secret sorrows and regrets, which I hope we find out more about.

Also, via asta77, NBC is airing two hours of Chuck on Thursday, January 24th from 8-9 and 10-11 EST. For some reason, they're bookending Celebrity Apprentice with Chuck episodes. I will never understand network executives. (Source: Televisionary)
