It's the eve of Yom Kippur and I'm tired and hungry already.  I sat in synagogue all evening reading the siddur and wondering if this was the image of God I wanted to have, if this was the image of God I wanted to pass on to my children (assuming I have any).  I read the poetry in the left hand margins of the siddur, the historical explanations of
