"You only get the best of me"
So I think i am now considered a Bryan Adams groupie. I went to his concert wednesday night in Vancouver and than friday night in Victoria. Now in my defense, he is my all-time favorite and I got the set of tickets for Victoria from my sister for christmas..
It was a great time.
I really needed to get away, and the trip to victoria was awesome. Although my sister and i had noisy neighbours, the day itself was awesome. The concert started early and was opened by Colin James (For those of you who dont know him, he owns the Central City Brewing company and had a Blues band a few years ago) Hes not bad.. but he isnt my Bryan.
So Lisa and I got floor seats for both the wed and the friday concerts. We were able to move up to the front row for Bryan Adams, and i thought that my sister was going to faint from excitement. We were right in front of the microphone on the far right of the stage. It was surreal being that close- in 2000 one of my friends got front row tickets to see Bryan Adams- I got a guitar pick, a drumstick and a pic with Bryan. This time i was in the front row and he touched mine and my sister's hands! It was awesome!! Although i was not as elated and excited as my sister.. She couldnt believe it!~
Because we were in the front, the lead guitarist, Keith Scott, would frequently sing at the mic directly infront of me. I touched his guitar when he leaned it over the stage into the audience! So cool..
Although i wasnt asked to sing with him on stage, it was a pretty awesome night and i think i am off my sister's hit list (she has been mad at me ever since i got front row tickets)
It was an amazing concert..and one of the longest i have ever been to. Started just before 8 and ended at 1130.
I've met a guy from UBC who i have been alluding to in my other emails. He runs the UBC radio station.. and yes.. he is a thunderbird.. and yes my fellows clansmen will not be impressed that i am dating a Thunderbird.. but i dont care. Hes fantastic.. I cant even begin to explain how much we have in common and how much fun we have together.. Its surreal..
Need to jet to class.. will write more when i have a moment soon..
