I wanted to share my wedding photos and nostelgic stories for you, but since the wedding was three weeks ago, I think its a little late for sharing time.
The wedding of my friend Elisa was beautiful- i was a bridesmaid.. with a cinderella blue dress that swished when i walked and my hair totally curled on my head.. Yes.. it was a great moment for me.. The idea, of course is that i dont look for beautiful than the bride.. and my friend was the most beautiful bride i have ever seen.. Hopefully not the last though..
The chappel that had been chosen was in Burnaby village.. part of the Burnaby village museum. It was quaint, and beautiful.. The isle was small.. and within 25 steps i was at the alter. We all walked down to Bach's "aire" which is a beautiful piece, and i tried very hard not to cry as i walked.. but I concentrated on the face of the groom, whom was having a hard time not crying.. That made it even worse.
The vows were said, people cried, and they were presented as man and wife..
Now i have two friends who are married.. and they are 28 and 26.. Shite..
Afterwards, us bridal party people got to travel to take pictures by the shadbolt centre.. with the roses and the beautiful trees. It was beautiful and i was loving smiling, looking gorgeous in my dress.. I recommend being a bridesmaid (or part of the bridal party) because you are part of the action.. all the live long day!
We went back to the reception, ate.. and commenced speeches.. I was last which was not a good idea. I started to speak and started to cry.. i needed a minute.. calmed down and finished my speech. I than sang "At last" by Etta James, except that night it was by me.. Elisa, the bride, was crying.. and she hadnt cried all day.. i was moved.. everyone applauded.. and i gave elisa and her husband mike a warm hug.. and thanked them for the honor of being there..
the night continued with Elisa's older brother's presentation of a half hour film he made for the bride and groom.. it was so well done, and so great to watch.. i laughed and cried.. it was so touching.. it was a wonderful night and i will never forget it.
There are some photos here that are from Elisa's stagette.. i wanted to include them in this post because it was a fun night and was part of the wedding experience..
We named the "inflatable husband" Monte. The manager at "Biminey's- were we went for dinner- was nice enough to make Monte a slong.. We attached Monte to Elisa's back and made her walk around in the outfit i chose for her. I chose a hawaiian theme, b/c she was going to Maui on her honeymoon.. Each person who attended the stagette received a lai.. it was really cool..
One pic is everyone who came that night. One is of me, the bride and the other bridesmaid. Unfortunately, i cant upload these photos to show u all.. but if you would like to see them i will send them to you, or ask my boyfriend to print them out for me..
