1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Spending a day out on the beach and in the water. There is likely an evening jam session tucked in there somewhere as well.
2. What is your greatest fear?
Becoming paralyzed or something similar.
3. Which living person do you most admire and why?
Uft, umm. No idea, actually.
4. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
The fact that I am always running late.
5. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
When a body is completely un-open to any sort of change. Stagnation being passing abominable.
6. What has been your most embarrassing moment?
Almost everything that happened between the ages of 12 and 16.
7. What vehicles do you own?
That would be none, sir.
8. What is your greatest extravagance?
The tattoos, they've been worth it. But damn is it an expensive sort of activity.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
My violin.
10. Where would you like to live?
Somewhere near an ocean, can't really condone being away from the water for too long.
11. What makes you depressed?
Being kept in one place for far too long. I've heard that I'm nearly intolerable by the end of winter most years.
12. What do you most dislike about your appearance?
My hair. There's nothing to be done with the mass and I'm certain it would look terrible short.
13. Who would play you in a movie of your life?
This is another one in which I've no idea as to an answer.
14. What is your most unappealing habit?
More like than not fidgeting.
15. What is your favourite smell?
The groves just off the beach in the middle of summer. Everything's so very much alive, and the salt cuts through it all so very nicely.
16. What is your favourite word?
Expeditious - sounds all purposeful and the like. Which is really for the best as that rather ties into the definition.
17. What is your favourite book?
An oversized leather bound one that's full up of blank staff lines. Someday I'll think of something that's actually worth sticking in there.
18. What is your fancy dress costume of choice?
Random female sea deity.
19. Radiator or air conditioning?
Radiator, heat I can handle, but being cold is unconscionable.
20. Cat or dog?
Cats. You can trust them to keep themselves and the house running while you're gone.
21. Is it better to give or to receive?
Giving, any time. Receiving is such an awkward sort of thing.
22. What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Napping.
24. To whom would you most like to say sorry and why?
Likely my youngest sister, but I doubt she'd care to hear it.
25. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Music and assorted people. They know who they are.
26. Which living person do you most despise and why?
Currently, it is a certain group of "heroes". Which more has to do with their attitudes and actions than them as people.
27. Have you ever said "I love you" without meaning it?
Every now and again after a night of hard drink. Rather hard not to feel some sort of love with a bottle or two of something or other running through your system. Always winds up awkward days later, though.
28. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Ace, rather, passing.
29. What has been your biggest disappointment?
The way the first album came out. There's always discrepancy between what one hears in their head and the finished product, but there was such a disjunct with this.
30. What is your greatest regret?
That there's so much that I really ought have lingered on, instead of rushing past.
31. When and where were you happiest?
There's a series of moments that have occurred on various beaches, also getting this latest album together was passing brilliant. The airship ride was certainly up there as well.
32. When did you last cry, and why?
A couple afternoons ago, the prospect of blinking out of existence is not a fun one.
33. How do you relax?
Setting a pot of tea on and doing some stretching. Barring that, taking a shower.
36. What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
Longer days, there's never enough time, it would seem.
37. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
The band. And the whole deal with Marbule, embarrassing or no, it was still something of a coup.
38. What keeps you awake at night?
Silence.
39. What song would you like played at your funeral?
"And She Was" by the Talking Heads. More funerals need upbeat music.
40. How would you like to be remembered?
As person who produced things that made others feel something.
41. What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
That the whole "following your dreams" thing may be a cliché but it's also an excellent way to live a life.
