KISS MY ASS
My request for working the night shift was denied supposedly b/c "the volumes don't warrant paying someone the 10% night differential." What a load of horse shit. The volumes don't warrant? The volumes are what they are and will remain the same regardless of whether I am working days or nights. Like 10% of my salary is going to break the department's budget? Two people just left who were working the night shift. That means that there are at least two openings. The real reason is that they won't let me b/c they want my schedule to coincide with the hours the reps in India will be working. They told me I had the option of opting out if I "wasn't comfortable" and that's exactly what I did today. I am adamantly against it and if they are going to hand me some bullshit reason like I'm a moron, then I'll be damned if I'm going to take part in helping people in another country eventually take out jobs away. They can KISS MY ASS. It took all the willpower I had to make it through the day without seeing if some vacation time was available and getting the hell out of there. What really burns me is that if I was incompetent, they'd be all the willing to let me switch over to the night shift. Did I mention that they can KISS MY ASS? I'm sure they will hold it against me for not being a "team player," but I won't have to deal with the stress and frustration. It's not like I'll get anything for it. Screw that bullshit.
