Thank you for stopping to comment! It really means a lot to me that the story resonated with a reader, and that the characters and their struggles were believable. My patient and talented betas deserve all the credit.
Open secret: I wrote the ending scene a long time ago, then went through hell and highwater getting from the beginning to the ending. I do not recommend this approach.
I guess I just knew that it wouldn't be a neat story, or a neat ending. That made writing this really hard, because I know a story usually has a recognizable trajectory, at least, fanfic usually does, but I couldn't for the life of me make the characters behave. So all I could do, having thrown Jessica into this situation, was to wait for her to struggle her way out of it.
I'm really, really glad this fic received so much love, because I love these characters so much. Good and tempted Tiffany, selfish and struggling Jessica, smart and patient Yoona, even Sooyoung who knows exactly how much she can help and how precious friendship is...I'm projecting my Soshi love but this story was powered by 100% pure fan love ;A
I'm also really glad I'm done with this because it's my first attempt at multi-chaptered fic and I can definitely see the weak areas, though I have no idea how to patch them. (Woe.)
Long reply is long! Comments are love because it feels like I'm not just babbling into the ether when I write. *o* Thank you for your comment, because it made my day!
I'm impressed that you managed to stick to the ending you had written a long time ago. Most times, I think the end would've been heavily edited (or scrapped altogether) due to the changes that occurred while writing the rest of the fic. Characters never behave!
Despite your "struggle" from the beginning to the end, the transition from the start to the finish line was smooth, and like I said, this was amazing and well-written and I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH.
This ending image was the reason I wrote it, so..! I committed myself to it with the teaser at the beginning of the story :( Ah, rookie mistakes...
Eeeee. Thank you, you're very kind and I'm so glad someone loves it! Every Right Turn, Every Left Turn was so much easier to write, like a first-born that just does everything right, but this fic is my problematic yet beloved second child ;A
