I am learning french at a slow pace mes amis.
Ok there everyone I got some pictures from ashley of all of you and man do I miss ya ! Living with eleven other people who aren't as great as you kinda sucks ! But its not too bad I am learn how to adapt to other people besides music freaks like you and me ! Yay maybe I won't be so elite when I get home ... sarcasm folks it comes in handy !
but seriously this weekend sucked all of you got to go and do things and welll ther was a wedding in the town I am in so the local tavern shut down for the weekend. thats how awesome this place is folks. But on a good we have been doing alot of things I probally wouldn't have been able to if I wasn't here. I t would just be cooler if we were all doing it together .. you know the feeling I am sure.
Things that rule here :
1) the huge ocean outside my front door.
2) whale watching.
3) the free ping pong table at the community center
4) my job
5)fiddle concerts
6) men who play the spoons... very famous spoon player gave me a set of his spoons ! hahah I trying to learn how to play.
7)SQUARE DANCING IS BY FAR THE COOLEST THING EVER ! for this week
This week is pretty awesome itself. I am going tonight to see a woman speak for cuso about maKE POVERTY HISTORY and then we are going to learn how to rug hook for real. Its a big thing here in cape breton so one of you may be lucky enough to get a rug !Wenow officially have a french teacher so I will be getting better. We are also going to be going to a buddist monistary for a day and doing meditation workshop... this was arranged by the one and only erinn gatin I think my group may fall in love with me for my ability to organize large group activities and the ability to con people into giving free admission ! wink yo
