So I am officially a Providence College Alumnus. Crazy how fast time goes by.
I am going to reminisce about my four years at P.C.
Freshman year I came to P.C. like any terrified kid going out into the great unknown, but apparently I had a lot more adjusting to do than the average 18 year old (at least that's what my mother tells me). It took me about a semester to make more friends than just my roomate, and I cried every day for the first week at school. Grades Freshman year were not so hot either.
But I did meet Katie that year, and through her I met amazing people (she is amazing too of course).
I began to gather my bearings academically sophomore year, but still did not have much of a social life, as I decided to room with a girl who wanted the door to our room shut for fear of anyone seeing her and constantly talking about how she hated the school. She ended up transfering second semester. Oddly enough, living alone that semester I felt a lot less lonely. I started hanging out with my freshman friends again.
Junior year I had four amazing roomates, though looking back, we spent a lot more time watching movies than I would have preferred. Never the less, they are AMAZING people and I would not give up our friendship for the world. This year we also saw Janina a lot going into Ray (the cafeteria). She took a huge liking to me more than any of my friends for reasons I am not sure of but she always had this huge grin on her face everytime she saw me come into the cafeteria and it made me feel so happy. I will miss Janina a lot.
Senior year was the best year by far. Despite initial trepidation, Lynds and I ended up being the perfect roomates for eachother. We even had burping concerts HAHA. All the roomates got along great. We went out to bars and senior nights and had so much fun. I will miss everyone at P.C. so much but thank God I have the cruise next week so I can still see Meg and Jenn.
Hopefully all of ur will keep in touch. I'm generally not very good at that but I hope I will be better.
