Michtam of David. Keep me, O God; for I have taken refuge in Thee. I have said unto the LORD: 'Thou art my Lord; I have no good but in Thee';
As for the holy that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
Let the idols of them be multiplied that make suit unto another; their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel; yea, in the night seasons my reins instruct me.
For Thou wilt not abandon my soul to the nether-world; neither wilt Thou suffer Thy godly one to see the pit.
Thou makest me to know the path of life; in Thy presence is fulness of joy, in Thy right hand bliss for evermore.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David. (31:2) In thee, O LORD, have I taken refuge; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness.
For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me and guide me.
I will be glad and rejoice in Thy lovingkindness; for Thou hast seen mine affliction, Thou hast taken cognizance of the troubles of my soul,
I hate them that regard lying vanities; but I trust in the LORD.Into Thy hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, O LORD, Thou God of truth.
Let the lying lips be dumb, which speak arrogantly against the righteous, with pride and contempt.
Oh how abundant is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee; which Thou hast wrought for them that take their refuge in Thee, in the sight of the sons of men!
O LORD, let me not be ashamed, for I have called upon Thee; let the wicked be ashamed, let them be put to silence in the nether-world.
O LORD, have me know how the people I loved missed I and what I did.
O love the LORD, all ye His godly ones; the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully repayeth him that acteth haughtily.
Like sheep they are appointed for the nether-world; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their form shall be for the nether-world to wear away, that there be no habitation for it.
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the nether-world; for He shall receive me. Selah.
Be not thou afraid when one waxeth rich, when the wealth of his house is increased;
For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away; his wealth shall not descend after him.
