Thoughts for the morning...
I love my silk pajamas. They make me feel somewhat elegant. Of course, with old lady slippers and my doofy-lookin head poking out the top the elegance somewhat fades...
David Blaine is a complete imbecile. Can't believe he went on a 44 day hunger strike in a stupid glass box. First of all, what a tired publicity stunt; anybody who's read Kafka knows he totally ripped that one off. Second of all, the fact that he would use a hunger strike as a publicity stunt is completely disgusting to me. How DARE he trivialize something that has martyred so many people over the years? Bobby Sands and at least 9 others are currently rolling in their graves, I guarantee.
My work schedule for this week is completely fucked up. In fact, ALL of the hostess work schedules are. Somehow, some brilliant person arranged it so the new girl is working 6 shifts and everyone else is working 3. And since Sarah and I are being trained as waitresses, WE'RE only working ONE. What the fuuuuuuuck?
I can't find the book jacket for my Order of the Phoneix book! *whines* I always take them off when I'm reading the book cause they get on my nerves...but now I can't find it! *whines some more*
I am a good friend. Wrote 6 cards to random people and am mailing them today. Hope Julie and Kari get theirs as am not sure I have their current addresses. They DO still forward mail, right?
I'm getting nervous about starting my trial runs as waitress. The plates we use are huge so the trays are RIDICULOUSLY huge. Am v. afraid I will drop one.
Need to go to K-Mart and get new ugly work shoes. Apparently, due to some new Red Lobster rule, we are now all required to wear Safe-Trax slip-resistant shoes. Hope they are not as oogly as they sound.
Saw Intolerable Cruelty last night w/Mum. Was rather hilaroius. Somewhat disturbing and morbid at times (of course; it's the Coen Brothers) but hilarious nonetheless. Laughed v. loudly at one v. morbid part and everybody in the theatre stared at me. Heheh. Oh well.
Wish my period would go ahead and start. I've been PMSing for almost a week now. My back hurts and I'm crying over cartoons for God's sake.
