windstorms and christmas cookies
i really enjoyed not having power on friday - it was nice to have the whole family (robert is home for two whole weeks now!) sitting around the fire together for pretty much the whole day. we roasted hot dogs for lunch. it was great.
then for dinner we drove to costco and got pizza. we watched everyone stuff their shopping carts full of Duralogs, apparently because they don't have real wood to burn at their houses. it was amusing.
we got power back early saturday morning. i was sort of disappointed, but i was also pretty happy about it, for obvious reasons.
yesterday i made christmas cookies, i've just spent a while (maybe 2 hours?) frosting them today, and robert and i still have more to frost.
but it's mostly fun, so i'm not complaining.
i think i want to write my extended essay on something relating to squaring the circle? it's a possibility. we'll see.
