so i guess school started on wednesday.... i have the regular classes, plus tok, plus physics 1&2(&3&4?) as an "independent study" class. i also got roped into knowledge bowl by mr. roths (in return for him letting me do independent study), which i have absolutely no time for, especially because i have to work on getting freshmen to and home from

this is all a little tangential---re: geographic friendship, my experience has been that as you get older the way in which friendships exist changes, (undoubtedly there will be people you lose touch with. what can anyone say? it happens. but--) and your friends are not necessarily the people you see every day (in class, at work). they are instead the people you seek out, the people that you have to go out of your way to see because, you know, you care about them. maybe you only see them when they are "in town"?

--that was something really hard for me to get used to. but i did. everybody does, because its a dynamic that changes for everyone. when you go to college, you will be less in contact with lots of people that you care about. i guess it just takes a new realization of how friendship "works" to be alright with it. and it is awesome in its own way--

i guess it seems like you won't have the energy to seek out the people that matter to you. i think you will. and it will be sweet.
