Oh, and one last thing before I go to my end-of-term-St.-Patty's-Day party...
Medieval Haiku Contest Today for end of term. I was second place. Hurrah.
Rules were, had to be haiku, had to be on a medieval topic.
My entry was this:
Medievalists: noun --
About a thousand years they
know it all, and naught.
The winning entry was by my friend Adrienne, who wrote (from memory so this may not be exactly right):
I'm beginning to
understand why mead was such
a good idea.
And in closing, a haiku I just wrote as a tribute to George Bush and Iraq:
Why does no one get
that evil tyrants can be
elected as well?
