Spring Break '07: Back to Florida
Happy Happy Easter everyone!!!
wow i havent updated in like, years? haha no it feels like forever!
hmm where shall we start? At the beginning seems like a good place right? I'm not really in the mood to do a full update since I need to pack and possibly visit/say goodbye to Megan, but more on that later.
So last Monday we all get on a plane (this would be me, my mom, stepdad, and little bro) and head off to Sarasota, FL! We get there, get our rental car (a silver PT cruiser! hehe its super cute) and i waited forever for my luggage (of course mine was like the LAST to come off the thing - i was so worried that I would be stranded without clothes!!!) then we drove down to Venice and to our condo!
The Plantation as it's called is where we're staying in the Augusta Villas (like golf much?) the place is cute although i have to share a room with my brother - two twin beds. at least we get our own bathroom though. One bathroom for the four of us would be a complete disaster!
Monday night after unpacking I went over to Megan's place just down the street and chilled with her and Cabbie and Justin (while Greg's mother was piss drunk ha) and then we went to the pool with her little cousin. it was a fun first night.
hmm the rest of the time here has basically been spent working out in the mornings (they have a fabulous little gym - i was so excited since my lazy ass has missed dance this entire week!), laying out working on the tan at the pool or beach in the afternoons, dinner & chilling reading in the evenings!
We went to Siesta to visit the Lewises - ahhh it was SO fabulous to be back there again! but at the same time it made me miss Jackie and long for the amazing times we had last year ... well, i suppose i should be thankful that I havent been involved in any drunken hookups ... she brings out the worst in me! haha ;) ran into terrence and connor there haha funn they were seriously the two whitest boys ive ever seen - hilarious. dinner at the classic salty dog - yumm! it was awesome just to see hot teenage boys wandering around - equally yummy :P
uuummm oh ya I also did some shopping of course! me and my madre spent the whole day at St. Armands and all the high class shops - yay for designer! we went to this fabulous place called The Met that was like a nicer version of tony walker (minus the bitchy sales people) plus a day spa! I petitioned my mom for a spa day but she declined ...
anyway i couldnt afford anything there except for a skirt on sale @ mark, fore, and strike (yay voo - your vera from last year!) but we also went to a macy's (where my mother has her all powerful charge card!) and i got a polka dot dress, some cute sneakers, and clinique makeup hehe
i havent seen too much of megan around actually - it's strange i thought we would be hanging out like a ton but i guess she's too busy with all her brother's friends and her cousins - she's only called me like, once and i was in siesta so obviously that didnt work out. hmmm i need to call/visit her ce soir!
this morning was church - wow was it crowded! glad to have you back Jesus - we missed you! :D hmm that sounds a bit blasphemous now that I think about it ... anywho!
We leave tomorrow - I dont want to go back to stupid ass snow and cold - I HATE NY
only good thing is that BOSTON trip with my fave cuz is in a little over a week YESS!!! cant wait - that is gonna be amazing!
ooo so some major boy updates - ive been thinking a lot and me and voo had a nice long phone conversation and i figure i should prob go to prom right? i mean, who cares who i go with - i can deal with going with a friend and just having a good time - but it would really suck to miss out on it altogether just b/c the guy i like happens to be obligated to go with someone else who basically forced him into it and who he doesnt even want to go with anyway ... wow sry im not bitter or anything i swear ;) but anyway i def. want to go and the limo with my chicas is just gonna be so much fun and i finally have the $$$ for it so alyssa wont chop my head off and i dont even have to buy a new dress so my mom shouldnt have any problem with it!
anyway, i could go on all day but I seriously need to start packing - UGH. well, all good things must come to an end right? at least i got a good tan out of it ...

P.S. - for all the other fangirls and book lovers on my flist here's what I've read so far on the trip:
~ "Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys" - Kate Brian (total teen trash but it was cute and i needed a quick read to entertain me on the plane ride down)
~ "Blue Bloods" - Melissa de la Cruz (Twilight fans beware - it's not all that great. the vamps are totally different but it was interesting i suppose, also tres confusing - me and Sam are already discussing! tehe)
~ "Confessions of a Shopaholic" - Sophie Kinsella (chick-lit i know but it was HILARIOUS i seriously laughed out loud - the main character is so great and it really was a fun, easy read)
I bought "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Uglies" (the first in the trilogy) today for the flights back - if you've read either let me know what you think! (without giving anything away of course)
yes, i am a bookworm, and i know it, and i'm proud. :)
