We've made some progress. Roger spent the day with his brother yesterday. It was very difficult for him. They finally decided that Terri would be cremated and there would be a small memorial at a rented hall before the burial service at the cemetery. Since his brother is on disability and has no money, we're going to pay for the cremation, and Roger's niece was going to pay for the cemetery plot. That changed later in the day when Terri's sister arrived and offered to pay half of the plot fee. At least that's something Dwight won't have to worry about. Unfortunately, the coroner hasn't release the body yet, so we have no idea when the funeral will be. Roger was on the phone all day with crematorium making the arrangements and he was wiped out last night when I got home from work. One of the reasons we live on the west side of town is to get away from his family. They are dramatically dysfunctional. But when something like this happens, he always is the one they count on to take charge. I'm glad he's like that; he's a really good person, but it wears him down. I do what I can to help, but I'm always afraid it's not enough.
