Star Princess Cruise Entry #1
I'm on the Star Princess cruise right now. We're heading for florence, Italy. Brief overview of what has happened so far:
On the 25th of July we flew from Portland to Germany (10 hour flight). Now listen to this...Apparently bringing a nail filer onto an aircraft is not allowed because it is consitered a weapon, yet they give everyone a metal fork and knife with each meal. (Aren't Americans smart!) From Germany we flew to Barcelona, Spain. We went sight seeing for a few hours, ate dinner (it was terrible and expensive) and went to bed.
On the 26th we boarded the ship and then went sight seeing in Barcelona a bit more. We returned and had lunch dinner at their nice restuarant on the ship. The food is really good! A formal captain's dinner was held..I wore my red prom dress, hehe.
On the 27th we woke up early to see one more building that was designed by the famous architect Gaudi who would only build in Spain.
On the 28th (today) we arrived at Monte Carlo, Monaco. Monaco is a tiny country by France and the mediteranian sea. Monte Carlo is a huge city...it is like the las vegas for europeans.
Well that's a brief update of what has happened so far. Everyone is really nice here and most teenagers are either American or English. Well I'm gonna go. Hope you are all having a good time in Portland.
