How to start...the last 24 hours have been absolutely fantasmic! A quick recap:
I got to go visit Amanda Roll, my sister, this weekend at PLU. She was telling me about her super-cool friends Jeremy and David, and I was equally excited to meet them. They are sooo hilarious!! Jeremy and David are from Eatonville, so they know how to amuse themselves, which means that Amanda and I can be amused by just listening to them. As soon as I got to Amanda's dorm and dropped my stuff off, Amanda, Jeremy, David, Dallas, and I went to Starbucks. Unfortunately, because we were in Parkland, we had to drive for freakin' ever to get to one. I compensated by getting a vente, which put me in unbelievably high spirits. When we got back Amanda, the guys and I hung out for a while and talked before they left to go back to their dorm.
Amanda and I, left to our own devices, can become pretty entertaining, but mostly we just listened to music and talked about what's been going on in our lives. Amanda and I are so similar in certain aspects of our lives that it's scary. It's pretty cool how we kind of understand each other. We had a deep discussions about guys and how to deal with them. Next, I wanted to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, so we called the guys.
I find the difference between the girls and boys dormitories pretty amusing: Amanda and Katie had their dorm decorated really nice with lights and posters and colorful things while Jeremy and David's dorm consisted of electronics and Family Guy and autographed Hilary Duff posters (Jeremy really likes Hilary Duff while David is partial to Christy Carlson Romano). We watched the movie which is WONDERFUL (Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey were marvelous; I forgot that I was watching them; they totally became their characters). The party ended when their RA came in at 2:15 a.m. and said that we were there past curfew, so Amanda and I retreated to Stuen Hall and watched Pearl Harbor. At about 4:00 a.m. and after another run to Starbucks, we retreated to bed, completely spent. Overall, an entertaining weekend.
