The date was horrible. It was horrible in a way that nothing has been quite that horrible before. At least in the surface way that doesn’t have anything to do with the trauma of her life. The fact of the matter was, her date with Logan Echolls was horrible. The weird thing about the horribleness of that date was it wasn’t that horrible. She knows that’s a massive contradiction but somehow how awful it went made it that much more enjoyable and they ended up laughing hysterically on her door step as they did the awkward goodbye dance. She kissed him though and she doesn’t know why she was that bold especially since she’s got way too many issues with men in general, not to mention being touched.
Sam is pretty sure that it’s the fact that she branded him that makes him different. There is almost literally a piece of her soul that she etched into his skin when she barely knew him. That drawing, the avenging fucking angel or something like that covering his back. How can she not feel some sort of weird indefinable connection with him? There’s also the club they decided to start, murdering fathers.
He’s complicated but she still maintains that he might not be as fucked up as she is.
The second date was better and she ended up standing in the water of dog beach and dancing under the moonlight to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore as he laughed at her, she knows he liked it. She’s trying this new thing where she just take life as it comes and doesn’t think about the letter from the DA asking her to come in for a deposition in the case against Mercer. She definitely doesn’t think about her father rotting in jail and his things collecting dust in the house she plans to sell.
She doesn’t call her mom enough and her sister is still practically MIA but she had a horrible date and she was able to laugh.
Not to mention the new tattoo she’s drawing for herself. Years of scars that people can’t see, she’s going to show them off on her skin in dark ink and simplicity.
