I feel that I am to be a compassionate being. I have no desire for power or to make tremendous change in the world. I can see the problems, as well as the solutions. No, Rather I can see how things could be. It isn’t impossible, far from it. Though I lack a course of action, how things can become what they can be. I see the willingness of others to change. I feel the strength in their hearts to become more than what they are. All possess this strength, but they are afraid. They are afraid to act upon what they feel as truth. However, the paradox is that most agree. Most can agree at a certain level what truth is, and how things should be. So what is it that keeps them from acting, and assuming what they know as truth. I do not think people do not act due to feeling a lack of responsibility. They are blind. They are scared, because they are uncertain. They have lived their lives in such a manner for generations. Indeed it has worked, but has it improved? Has our lifestyle improved our lives? Are we happier with what we can do and what we have accomplished? Are we satisfied with how we treat others, and how we treat ourselves? Most can see this. The paradox of our thoughts and actions. Perhaps this why there is so much depression, so much anger, resentment, and uneasiness. Why people move through their day and feel less meaning each day. Why they can only live moment to moment, in hopes for a better life. A life that they wish they could have if only something changed. If things became as they believed they could. Their uncertainty has kept them from acting upon the truth, the truth that will set them free from the bondage they have long been shackled in. This truth is known by me, as well as others. We share this truth, and understand it. So why do we not do something? What are we so afraid of? A little pain? A little suffering? A little change to obtain something greater, something so beautiful we cry when we imagine it. These are tears of joy and sorrow. Joy because we can see it, and we savor the moment in which we experience it in our own mind. Sorrow because our dream is still only a dream. This dream in which we know for certain can become reality if only we chose. Everyday we have this choice before us, this choice that could change all things. This choice that could unmake all that is and create all that could be. The choice is there, and has never been forgotten. It is the choice to speak the truth, and live the truth. To act according to this truth, and not according to the laws, regulations, and rules. To act according to this truth even in the face of death proves that this is indeed what we live and die for because we forsake what we have been told is most precious. Life. How is it that something could be more important, more precious than life? How is it that there could be an idea, that would be more paramount to our future, than the very moment in which we live in. How is it that this idea, this truth, that has been there for all human history has been lost to reality. I say again, it is the fear. The fear of the unknown. One can only fear death because it is unknown, because to fear death for any other reason is a belief one knows when one does not. Therefore, one fears acting upon truth because the path is unknown. No one tells us the truth, we already know it. It is already there starring us right in the face waiting for us to start the conversation. Awaiting our decision to follow it. To follow the path of truth is to tread upon a path no other can tread with you. We can guide one another, but you must open your own doors. You must make the choice, and take the action. Once upon this path, one finds it hard to follow any other path. One finds oneself in a place where they know where the doors are and how to open them. One discovers that the mysteries that once existed were only blind-allies in which they had never dreamed of viewing. To follow the path of truth is to conquer all that is unconquerable. To follow the path of truth is to know, not think, what one must do, and how one must do it. This does not mean that we all act in the same manner. What it means is that we all act according to truth, and therefore are harmonized in existence. One know when the path of truth is in sight. It is not easily missed, nor discarded due to it’s nature of drawing us in through curiosity. It is in this one decisive moment, we must choose to either follow the path or not. I believe it would be wise to follow this path, even if it is dark. It is through truth that I shall become all that which could ever be and prevail over all that could ever challenge me.
