my ears are still ringing from the concert on saturday... i had a great time, though... definitely one of the best concerts i've seen... and it just reinforced my love for 311... it would be great if i was able to go see them in new orleans in two years...
jared recently found out that he was accepted to the university of illinois for grad school... full tuition, ta position, extra cash... pretty sweet deal for the number four engineering school in the country... all of this just has he was getting excited about going to madison for grad school... i think he'll end up going to illinois, though... i hope he does... it offers what he really wants to do, has a good reputation, and it would be a change of pace...
can't wait until the games start later today... my bracket is set and i couldn't be more excited... i love this time of year...
sometimes i wish i could drop everything and go volunteer abroad somewhere... do some humanitarian work... i feel so unfulfilled with my career... why not help someone else for a change? sure, i give money to charity... do some volunteer work in the area... but it never feels like enough... i have so much that giving of myself is starting to seem like the one way i'll feel absolutely content with life...
this isn't where i thought i'd be a few years ago... yet surprisingly, i don't think i could feel much happier...
