I think it's all about personal circumstances, and I also think it's a decision for the mother of the child, it isn't for us guys to say what's right and what's wrong in terms of abortion, simply because I don't think it's something guys can ever completely understand, I think it's also a very personal thing.

I think in general terms, it's a hard decsion to make, and the only way you can make the best possible decision, when you have a hard decesion to make, is to have an open mind, talk to wiser and more experienced people (in this case, talk to mothers, doctors and people who have gone through abortion etc) and finally listen to your heart and your instincts.

P.S. Alex, that whole nature point may be true, but it's really uncomparable, how many animals do you know go to university, work in an office or have credit cards? these are all very superficial things that are simply non-existant factors in the animal world. I don't know about killing for very short sighted purposes, you're not a George Bush supporter by any chance? lol

Just on a final note, having a child and bringing one up appears to be one of the biggest challanges in life, even though as I said it's very personal and something I really don't want to get involved in, when it comes to a specific opinion, I will say that maybe it shouldn't be looked at as such a negetive thing, I mean, it should be looked at as an opportunity to mature and grow a bit as a person.

Someone might say "Hey! but i'm not ready!", But there are challenges that come up all the time and we are never fully ready, And the only way you can ever fully enjoy life and be successful is if you show some courage, and step up to life's challenges.

But going back to what I originally said, it's a very personal thing, and the decision you make has to be the best possible decision for you.

many animals do you know go to university, work in an office or have credit cards? Well, as far as university I know quite a few, and they learn at least as much as some of the students I know, although they spend less time in the bar :D.

I don't know about killing for very short sighted purposes, you're not a George Bush supporter by any chance? lol If I was ever put within sword swing of George Bush he would be a dead man, I'm not against killing, but it should never be for money (or oil) or for fun. Just for self defence and food.

I also think it's a decision for the mother of the child, it isn't for us guys to say what's right and what's wrong in terms of abortion, simply because I don't think it's something guys can ever completely understand Of course the final decision is going to be the mothers, but in any relationship the guy is going to have some influence on that decision, and is going to have to support the woman in making the decision that is right for her. If it was to come down to it, would you be in favour of the idea or against it, and why?

"...If it was to come down to it, would you be in favour of the idea or against it, and why?"

I would support whatever decision she makes, I definetely wouldn't make the decision for her, I would provide helpful advice and whatever else but I would still leave the decision to her. As long as she thinks about it, and does what she feel is right, then regardless of whether we keep it or she aborts, I'll be in favour of whatever she chooses. Although I would insist that she just has a bit of a think about it so she makes a good positive decision that she doesn't regret, rather than making a decision about it at the spur of the moment.
