Okay I am here to start on my Germany part II post hahahaha I'm so sorry for the extremely crazy amount of photos, I just want to put up everything so that next time when I read my archives, I'll remember the trip more clearly! :) I didn't get to do a post on Paris/Barcelona last year... So yeah the pictures are lying sadly in my iPhoto haha! Oh yes went to watch the juniors today against Northland at Kallang, it was really great seeing a game after so long! Swensens after that with Mel + Des hahahaha free lunch manzzxz mel and I got vouchers, and we all had pizza, chicken wings, sundaes!!! ALL FREE WOOHOO I LOVE FREE HAHAHA. Shantaine, Joycelyn and Cheryl came along later haha okay it was just super entertaining omg! Watched Bolt after that, it's soooo cuteee!!!! Pictures up soon either here or facebook or both if photobucket's gonna work with me!
Anyway back to Germany!!!! Here's part II.
DAY 8, 8th December: Garmisch, Germany
First time I saw the sun in Germany hahahaha and it was the day of skiing!!! Wonderful weather yay!
Okay anyway we took this gondola thing!!!! To the sky-high top of the mountain hahaha okay and if you read my previous post, in 8 seconds I was flat on my face with snow in my mouth!!! Once I skiied down, it was so damn steep, and they said if bent lower I will feel more stable but NO I WENT FASTER?!?!??! Then I just ahhhhhhh-ed all the way and the next few seconds, I started rolling down the mountain HAHA. And these (rather hot) idiots snowboarded past me and greeted me with a "KONICHIWA!" zzzzzz so mean I tell you. Singapore no snow right so you can't expect me to ski on Bukit Timah Hill every end of the year! These fellas have been learning and doing wintersports all their life! Rah.
ANYWAY. After that I was too scared to go down the same steep slope so I just sat my butt on the snow holding all the equipment, and just let myself slide down. Can you imagine how steep if it allows you to naturally slide down like that!!!! Okay anyway about 250m above ground, I skiied again and this time I didn't fall down woohooooooo! PLUS I COULD GO LEFT RIGHT AND EVEN DO THAT SIDE-THINGY TO STOP HAHAHAHAHA. Yay I'm so proud of myself. Anyway yeah I pespired in -5 degrees doing all those skiing. Woah. Alright, yep dinner was good!! :)
DAY 9, 9th December: Munich, Germany
OKAY, MAJOR SHOPPING DAY!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA
THIS IS SO SO SO CUTE OMG. Kids who need help in ice skating use these bears to help them!
Instead of those embarassing sliver bars thingy in Singapore hahahaha
This slide leads to the kids section of the shoe store. So instead of walking the stairs you can slide down!!!!
HAHAHA IT WAS SO FUN OMG.
Okay bought my red birkies in the store!!!! :)
THESE. ARE. THE. BEST. FRIED. POTATOES. EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Omg absolutely delightfuly tasty. Goshhh I miss it now.
This is a real Apple store! Singapore doesn't have one... yet.
Okay so I made this deal with my parents. If I get 10 points and below for O's, I'll get my macbook for free.
For every 1 point more than 10, I have to pay $100. Okayyyyyyyy now it sounds like a bad deal.
If I score 20, I PAY $1000?!?!?!?!? OMG.
Real christmas tree sale!!!! Ahh I wanted to bring one home and plant it in my mini garden HAHAHA
Alright anyway, I took my first German subway! Okay there's no need to tap any card or anything. But you have to buy a ticket.
Soooo even if you don't buy any and just take the train, you are able to get out and yay you got a free ride!
BUT. Do it only if you're lucky. Cause on unlucky days, staff will hop on trains and check for your ticket. Locals usually have their season passes, so umm yeah you'll be in deep shit! LOL HAHAHAHA
Pizza Hut for lunch!
After 4 hours... went back to the carpark and got a heart attack. TADAH!!!!!
28 EURO = S$56
And we thought Orchard Road's $15 parking was ridiculous.
Plus, it was at such at chakchak carpark!!!! ):
ANYWAY. Headed to Allianz Arena where Bayern Munich is!
Reuben bought alot of stuff hahaha, I got this black adidas coat thing! :)
The stadium could change colours!!! HAHAHA from white to red to blue!
DAY 10, 10th December: Inglostadt, Germany
Visited the Audi Forum, where the car factory is! Did you know... Audi makes like 1200 cars a day? And all of them are sold already. So it's a buy and make kinda thing. There are workers 24/7 and a car takes 36-38 hours to be made! Super super cool. I couldn't bring the camera in this time, cause I think Audi carmaking has secrets HAHAHAHA
Alright so..... I had this sudden urge to eat Japanese food. But ah well, it's not very easy to find!
BUT IT WAS MY VERY LUCKY DAY! We walked 50m from the carpark, and there it was... smacked right infront of my face!
SO YAYYYYYY I WAS A VERY VERY HAPPY KID :D:D I love Japanese foood hahahaha
Alright it was a long drive back to the hotel in Inglostadt, so the day ended here!
DAY 11, 11th December: Berlin, Germany
First thing we went to visit in the outskirts of Berlin was the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camps that the Holocaust and other stuff were carried out in. It was pretty damn scary and really sad. Not many pictures cause I was ummm afraid of ghosts haunting me haha so yep 2 pictures only lol!
This picture looks somehow like a prison break shot hahahaha
Family was craving for Chinese food... SO CHINA RESTAURANT (germans call it that hahahah) HERE WE COME!
Another short day hahaha we were very tired and it was already dark at 4PM so headed back to the hotel!
DAY 12, 12th December: Berlin, Germany
Looked out of the hotel window in the morning and OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR CAR?!
Anyway headed to Berlin City!!! :)
This van had grass all over it hahahahaha
Anyway, we joined a free walk-around-the-city-tour! The tourguide was hilarious and super entertaining,
he's Australian but I guess studying in Germany? So yep it was like a tour of 4 hours!
Hotel Adlon!! This is where presidents stay when they visit Berlin. A presidential suite cost like 12500 euro per night OMG HAHAHAHA WTH S$25000???? Anyway yes it's also where Michael Jackson cradled his baby outside the window hahaha okay I had no idea it was in Germany!
THIS IS THE REICHSTAG!!!!
You see the two double lines there? The Berlin Wall used to be there!
Holocaust Memorial! It's built of blocks all the same width but different heights.
The place where Hitler comitted suiclide okay yeah I know it's a carpark now HAHAHAHA
I wonder how these people climb all the way up there and do the graffitti, seriously.
Only Nazi-occupied building (last time la duh) left in Berlin!
Introducing... THE BERLIN WALL!!
CHECK POINT CHARLIE!!! Okay that's not Charlie that's just some General guy hahaha
Paul, our tourguide!
Group photo!!! Hahahaha
I think this is called Hamburg University? HAHAHAHA OKAY I totally forgot the name,
I only remembered it was close to hamburger hahahaha but this university is for the geniuses of the world.
28 Nobel Prize Winners, and Albert Einstein taught here for 20 years!!! Gosh.
Okay when you look down this thing, is a library full of bookshelves without books.
Hitler kinda burned all the books or smth for propaganda?!
And the tour finally ended, gave tips to the tourguide and off we went to shopping street!!
But dinner first... And it was Chinese food again! HAHAHA. My mom was just so tired of western food lol
Popped by H&M and got some stuff. My brother got bored after getting his shirts so when he stood outside the shop looking so bored, this Santa Claus came up to him and gave him free Lindt chocolate hahahahaha
Alright so yes, back to the hotel for packing of luggages!
DAY 13, 13th December: Frankfurt, Germany
Did I mention that macs was just across my hotel room window in Berlin?? HAHAHA so we headed over there for our breakfast!
The first time we went to Macs, there was this super idiot ass German fella who totally pissed my mom off. He was like, what accent are you? We said english, and you know what he replied? In Deutschland we speak Deutsch, if you speak english then don't come to Deutschland! WTH?!?!?!?!??! Okay what an asshole. So anyway, macs breakfast is fantastic in germany. Croissants, burgers are all freshly available!
Took a long drive back to Frankfurt. Headed to the shopping street, and WOAH LONGEST SHOPPING STREET, EVER! My goodness and the number of people just totally scared me. A pity I didn't shop much haha cause I was really tired and there were like, thousands of people everywhere! Wanted to eat at Marche.. but we couldn't find it! Went to ask for directions at this T-Mobile shop, but the staff didn't know either!
And then, as we stood outside the shop thinking of where to go next... This German blonde wearing the Apple polo tee came out. With his sexy manly voice, "Are you guys looking for gourmet Marche?" *and amanda faints and melts away...*
Then, he whips out his iPhone, enlarging the map, he tells us that the restaurant is
7km away across the river and recommends us to take the subway.
OMG!!!!! HOTTEST GUY IN GERMANY I SAW. I think I died for half a minute!!!! Even my mom thought he was handsome :D:D
Alright anyway I shall continue before I go off the track hahaa!
Thai Express had awesome food that was able to help us hold our hunger before Marche at the airport! But it was quite sucky actually hahaha compared to Singapore's! ):
DAY 14, 14th December: In the sky hahahaha
Alright that's all!!! Hope I didn't bore you out of your guts and yeahhhh hope you enjoyed it!
