This made my day.
As quoted from a recent interview with Good Charlotte:
INTERVIEWER: "And what about any other [Good Charlotte] collaborations? Perhaps with somewhat higher-profile stars? Like, say, [Joel's girlfriend] Hilary Duff - any chance of that happening?"
JOEL MADDEN: "We haven't even thought about that. Who knows? I've been thinking about that Postal Service album - the way that chick sings on there? I'd love to do something like that. If any girl will sing on our record, it'll be Hilary," Madden laughed. "I mean, Hilary's my favorite female singer. I love her voice. And I think she's the greatest singer today. But, of course, I'm a bit biased on that one."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I LOVE THE FACT THAT:
A) He causes a verbal train wreck with his name-drop of The Postal Service. Dude, if you're going to try to earn a few scene points with the indie kids by talking about a band that was popular two years ago, at least do it with some class. "That chick that sings on there"...wow, that was painful.
B) Apparently, Hilary Duff is the greatest singer today.
"If you're moving on, I'm already gone
If the light is off then it isn't on"
Joel, I completely know what you mean. The whole, "light off-not on" part really speaks to me too.
