Mecka-Lecka-Hi, Mecka-Hiney-Ho
The WUMD party was phenomenal and a half.
I am so glad that everything ran so smoothly. D and I got there at 6 to set up the tables, and get the food and the dj equipment together. Everyone at Jacoby's was so good to us, and Sterling was such a kick ass bartender.
Matt Derda's band, A Is For A opened. They played a great set, and the crowd was really receptive to them. The Pop Project rocked everyone's heads off, as expected. They ended up selling all of their albums. I was so happy that they could play for us, I absolutely love that band. After the bands loaded out, we had the danceparty, which was hott.
I was amazed by the number of staff, dj's, alumni, school acquaintances, and friends who came out to support the radio staion. It really meant a lot to me that you all showed up. The last head count I took was over 100, not including the bands.
Since this party went so well, we're planning on having an end of the year party. I'll keep all of you posted, since I hope even more of you can come out next time.
