Awakening was this past weekend (for those of you who don't know, it's our huge CSC retreat every semester)...And after months of leadership meetings and planning and all, it was amazing. Whenever you help plan anything, there are always those little worries, doubts that maybe it won't go as well as you think it will. But it was better...I had an amazing family to work with, and our speakers were PHENOMENAL, and I mean that wholeheartedly.
Granted, I got next to no sleep, have a lit paper due tomorrow, and a million things to do now, but whatever. I'll make it.
High Points of the Weekend (well, some aren't altogether good, but they're funny)...in no particular order:
1. THE TALKS. enough said.
1.5. Our family- basically, the table that was always either singing, dancing, or banging on the table...TABLE 3 WHOOP WHOOP!
2. Mike Holliday's rendition of Enrique Iglesias. I made the mistake of laughing my ass off during it. Don't ever do that. Being sung to in Spanish by an engineer was, well, interesting. Especially in a room full of people during dinner.
3. "Do gophers have feelings?" -Maura, whom I love to death.
4. The fact that Rob "proposed" to Anna Leigh using a ring with a functional light bulb on it he made himself. Wow.
4. Nick and Juan's "Spring Break in Efland" staff skit. Dennis as William Hung. Nick "winning a wet t-shirt contest" "Da 6"
5. Drew's Harry Caray voice. Yes, it was in the staff skit, but it definitely deserves it's own mention. "Who's your favorite Duke basketball player, JJ or Sheldon?" Drew: "Mine's the SUN!"
6. The giant bag of caramel Hershey Kisses.
okay, enough for now...I have a paper to write...
