I posted this on myspace
Why can't people post important things rather than stupid chain mail crap. There is so much going on in the world and so many things to discuss and people are posting futile things that waste time and are unimportant.
What about the hurricane and how people are blaming Bush (I know he is not the greatest president there is but really, he is not almighty and powerful to the point where he controls the weather), or how some are trying to turn the hurricane into a racial issue, or how the war in Iraq is still going on, or how the US wants to drill in the Alaskan Wildlife reserve for 2-3 months worth of oil, or how the english language is diminishing as well as the cultures intellegence. Actually speaking of intelect, these trivial and irritating chain mail posts are a prime example of the crumbling knowledge our generation possess.
Has anyone read 1984? or Brave New World? or Farenheit 451? If so, those frightening, opressive societies...that will be us shortly if people keep throwing time away by posting crap
