good and evil
In english we were discussing whether people are generally good or evil. My argument was that they are generally good. Because I have faith in people and though I may not ever forget.. I do forgive...
But was I right? Am I alone in thinking this way?
I said that I believed that everyone had something good in them and that is why we have friendships, relationships, families etc. And that is why we help other countries and have charities...
But looking at some people at our school... Im beginning to think that selfishness AKA evil can take over the goodness that everyone has. There are cetain people who are taking things to far and saying things that are rude mean and unnecessary. I don't mind if they feel that way but keep it to yourself for goodness sakes...not everyone at the school is nonjudgemental and I am the last person that needs to be judged.
I am always told that I am mature and I have wisdom...but the thing is...I am so nieve in this. I trusted people I shouldn't have becasue I honestly thought they had as much compassion as I see in myself...I was wrong. I should have trusted the judgement that people gave me from day one...still I continued...and was btrayed and hurt in the long run...but I see this as a happy thing too..I am glad their true colors are being shown to people that matter to me so that they also understand this selfishness which they bore inside of them...I am so glad that it is happening now and not later when it might be too late.
It hurts to see that people can be so angry at others when all it is is jealousy and bitterness...I DONT LIKE having problems with anyone and I havent in SUCH a LONG time...and I'm beginning to think now...WHY should I change my ways for THEM? for the frist time I'm happy for myself...and I shouldnt doubt my beliefs...I want to stick to my decsion that people are generally good... and I am going to...but I guess I won't be counting the bitchy teenagers...
