She said we hung out at school, for a while

You know, things might just be improving. It's time to make a move in a forwards direction. As my friend Paul used to say, you have to follow the money trail.

So this trail has got me doing more and more English classes, and if everything goes to schedule (guarantee: it won't), then I will be getting a reasonable wage. My Dad is also helping us out with a bit of cash, as now that Francisca has finished the web index project, she doesn't have a job. So maybe now it's my turn to bring in the bacon, as I have practically been living off her since arriving...

Maybe arriving with no job, no Spanish and no money was not the best of ideas, but things are heading up I think. Every few days I see people that I know in the streets, I have a bunch of friends here and have some regular things that I do.

Last night I went to see En Mi Defensa. It was a pretty fun show. I arrived and the place was full, but they just let me in anyway. It was their 10 year anniversary show, as well as their farewell show before going to Europe. One thing that is not easy to do is to make pals in the context of a hardcore show, but it never has been and never will be. Takes time and persistence and regularly willingness to stand in sweat drenched shitty dives or cultural centres.

Anyway, the show was good. Particularly because I arrived late, so I just saw a few songs of the second last band, then on to En Mi Defensa, then back home. They are going to tour Europe and they are actually going to play on one festival with I Exist. I think that would be a fun tour to do an I Exist/En Mi Defensa tour, maybe with one more Chilean band and one more Australian.

That's another story though. Now is the time to concentrate on real, concrete options, and the getting of some money. So the next couple of months I should go ok, and from there we will see how things are going here in Chile land.

money, work, hardcore, i exist, en mi defensa, life, chile
