So back in Canberra. Got back yesterday afternoon, and had lots of things to do. Couldn't make it to them all. Started a Spanish class, I think that went ok. Looking forward to the end of that, hopefully I will be much better by then. Missed out on touch, it was our last game, but we lost 11-2, so I wasn't that concerned about missing out on that one.

Went over to Rhys and Kat's place, to pick up some stuff they brought back from Sydney for us. I have started work on my major uni assignment, which is of course, due next week. I'm planning on writing a history of Australian Footbag, however, we only have a few thousand words to write about it, so I am looking at it more from my own sense, in a more autobiographical style. So I wrote some things, was looking back at the old championship results, I have about 1500 words already, which is good because this morning, I had zero.

Have been reading Paul Theroux- Ghost Train To The Eastern Star, in which he tries to retrace his step along the journey for The Great Railway Bazaar, which I read a couple of years back. It gave me an idea for a book to write, if I ever become a "famous author", or also, if not, but in the former, some jerks would pay for me to go. The idea is to retrace the steps of my Dad's journey from 1981. The trip was something like
Sydney>Thailand>Burma>India>Nepal>India> (by bus)> Tehran> (by bus) > Turkey then through Europe on a Eurail pass, not exactly sure where he went, but he kept a diary. He did see Iggy Pop in Copenhagen, who he said seemed over the hill, in 1981, so he was surprised to see him on the 2011 Big Day Out lineup.

He went to England and Ireland, then he flew to USA, stopped in Hawaii on the way home, camped in the airport, but they turned the sprinklers on him. I think that would be a fun adventure, and it's something I would like to do regardless of the famous author status. Maybe once coming back from Chile.

Another thing I would like to do, is to simply follow Footbag tournaments around, in the same way that people chase snow or surf, and maybe write something about those adventures. But anyway, it's a good book, I agree with him that travel by train is much more pleasant of a journey than going by plane.

Hopefully will have a kick this afternoon with Caroline, got some good kicks in whilst in Melbourne, kicked with Ryan on Sat and Jamie on Sun. Jamie has taken about the last year off, but still seems in very good form.

Going to start putting pictures up from the wedding/honeymoon etc, will be an arduous task I believe. Here's one from the water taxi into the city that we took after the wedding.
