So yeah, decided to start living much healthier, stop treating my body like shit.
For a while anyway!
Basically the last 3-5 years, definitely the 3 years spent at uni, have not been at all good for my health.
So today, I started this "health kick" or whatever, by going for a run. It was pretty good, I ran down to the foreshore, around this pool thing, up the hill to Limeburner's Point, and then in through the botanical gardens. Probably around 4-5 k's all up, I'm not too sure, I wasn't paying that much attention.
So I'm listening to the new silverchair album. Kate bought it the other day. Well she bought it for her Dad, but then he already had it, so she kept it. I'm liking it. Not something I'd really want to listen to all the time or anything, but it's pretty cool. It's pretty out there. Personally I think it's similar to some different Mike Patton stuff in some ways. Probably closest to Fantomas ie pretty fucking weird. Although it is a lot less rock than I was hoping for. I was kind of hoping for some sort of modern day Led Zeppelin. I think there are parts that sound like some of the pop-rock-ish bands that used to be around in the mid 90s, that would play on Recovery.
So Adam B Metal has left Frankenbok, and he's started a new band called The Deaprted. The album is still going to come out, which is good. Me and Joel are in the top friends in The Departed's myspace page...win!!! But the new singer is the old singer from Block, who played with Frankenbok and Melodyssey that time we went on a crazy roadtrip to Bairnsdale with Leigh, Dana and Brooke. Those were the days where I basically lived my life following bands around and going to watch them. I haven't done that sort of thing in a long time. It'll be good once I have some reasonable amounts of cash from this telemarketing job. I really don't even care if I despise this job, it may be a return to the days of the 'Croe, which I actually generally have fond and fun memories of, even though packing computer parts into boxes was definitely not a top job.
Well anyhow, I'm rambling and thinking about "back in the day". I think I will be on my way.
