So I got the "job" with "Sportsjam"
in the previous post I have been warned to be very wary of the old sportsjam.
Today I worked at the St Kilda v Essendon game, harrassing people to buy raffle tickets. I was actually suprised more people weren't buying them, especially the St Kilda fans.
But yeah. I sold 42.
In the pouring rain.
It's all commission based. you get something like 50c per ticket sold, they are worth $2.50, so you get a 20% cut, that is for the game day ones. Two of the people I was with, the group leader got about 55 and some other chick who had been around for a while got around 22 or so, so I guess I did alright.
I'm not going to do this for long at all. I'm really suss about it and think it's a bad option. I had a big chat with some guy last night about the whole "direct marketing" bullshit concept, and we both said it was pretty much fucked.
Went out with Crowden last night. Went around to some bars in Fitzroy. Saw some punx show at "Exile on Smith" and it was pretty average, actually spent nearly the whole night playing pool in this backroom, where we met some interesting characters.
Spent way too much money though.
Am going to this tonight, and am pretty stoked about it
Although my phone has gone dead, which is not really very good at all.
I had a kick with Dan yesterday (the big TV star!) He didn't get through to the finals on Australia's got talent. Played reasonably well. Not heaps well, but ok. Put in an order for some elemental bags, I think I should actually be able to sell a reasonable amount playing in Fed Square more often.
I think I am going to get very sick very shortly.
